He graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in Ankara and completed his specialist training in otorhinolaryngology at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Ankara Atatürk Training and Research Hospital and Ankara City Hospital. He then worked as a surgeon at Istanbul Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital.
His specialist thesis studied how surgery for obstructive sleep apnoea affects sleep and breathing. In every nose consultation, breathing is assessed together with the shape of the nose.
